I just wanted to share this with you.

I haven't been on here for sometime as i've had alot of things going on and been on an emotional rollercoaster. My Gran has been ill since February, strokes, chest infections, you name it she has been hit with it.

Being of strong stuff she had been fighting, to all ours and the doctors amazement, all attempts it seemed to take her to the after life. Unfortunately she did suffer for sometime and did wish herself gone, which made me feel useless as i couldn't do what she wanted me too.

My Gran died A week ago saturday, so i decided to look for an appropriate poem to read at the funeral. I just culdn't find one that fit what i wanted to say. Then all of a sudden i had an urge to write my own poem.

I did it quite quickly and had lots of help from my spirit guides. They just kept reminding me of events and things i could mention. I will put a copy on here for you to see so you can read it. I was really close to my gran so its been hard, but my angels and spirit guides are there to ease my emotions for me. angel.gif

Your poem is wonderful and really heart felt. There were so many parts that I could attribute to my grandmother that your poem brought me to tears.

Thank you for sharing it.

You said when you died you'd walk with me every day,
I start to cry, and say 'Please don't talk that way'
With a blink of an eye the lord came and asked you to meet.
You went to a better place but he stole you away from me....

And now she lives in heaven.... but I know they let her out,
To take care of me.
There's a strange kinda light in my bedroom tonight,
pray silence my fear, she is near... bringing heaven down here.

I miss your love, your touch, but I feel you every day,
I can almost hear you say - 'you've come a long way baby'
And now you live in heaven, but I know they let you out,
To take care of me....

There's a strange kinda light, in my bedroom tonight,
Pray silence my fear - she's near, bringing heaven down here.

You taught me kings and queens, while stroking my hair,
in my darkest hour, I know you'll be there,
Kneeling down beside me, whispering my prayer....

A strange kinda light, caressing me tonight, silencing my fear, she is here.
Birnging heaven down here.

The next tme we meet, I'll bow at her feet,
Say 'wasn't life sweet?'
And we'll prepare, to take heaven down there...

Song words, from nan's song, on Robbies Williams album 'escapology.'
helped when my grandad died, sharing so they do the same.

hug.gif to you Pegasus!

I was really close to my Nan too.

I could relate to your poem, especially the cooking bits.

The song words are lovely too - will have to get a copy of that song I feel.

Pegasus you will have made your Gran smile with pride with your poem, it deserves a big WELL DONE which I'm sure she will tell you herself in her own way soon enough if she hasn't done so already.

My Nan is still with me, and even corrects me when I'm reciting one of her recipies and get them wrong! So she is definitely still around!

Thank you for sharing your feelings and wonderful poem.
