I first was taught this meditation to help with learning to activate and recognise the Kundalini energy...
It is my belief that the
mind goes where the
thought takes it...Energy becomes focused by the thought
sit in a cross legged position
breath in
slowly and Focus the mind on the root chakra, imagine the breath going to the chakra......
breath out
slowly and Focus the mind on the root chakra, imagine the breath coming out of the chakra.....
as you become aware of and feel the energy gathering in the root chakra allow it to expand in the root chakra..continue gathering energy in the root chakra perhaps for 5 to 10 minutes
when you are confident that you have an accumilation of energy in the root chakra do step #2
step #2
-breath into the root chakra
when you breath out, now Focus the mind on the crown chakra, imagine the breath going out of the crown...
continue breathing into the root and out to the crown for 5 to 10 minutes
This will clear the channel, jid, rod in the column of your spine
Become aware of the energy and feel it moving up the column of your spine...
If your mind wanders away (even for a second) be aware of what level of the spine your mind was at...that will indicate a * chakra* that is blocked...
Then focus the out breath on that chakra...into the root out the blocked chakra...
This is the way to clear the way and develop the physical awareness for your kundalini energy...
I also do this for specific pain/injuries...
into the root.......... gather it .....then send it out through that sore knee or toe...
when starting with a breathing practice, it can also help to quiet the mind if you count, keep it steady if you count to 4 going in...count to 4 going out......it gives the mind somethng to do ...
