Hi Everyone,

not been on for ages, alot been happening.

I needed to ask you if i can do a reading for my friends mum who died 3 weeks ago? She asked me tonite wether this is possible and i didn't know so thought i would ask your opinion.

I know you can do angel cards and ask about someone who is deceased, but not sure about Tarot.

My friend really wants to know her mum is okay as she died in pain as she suffered with cancer in the brain. My friend also asked me why she hasn't felt her presence around her despite being so close to her. I said you never feel it when you are expecting it, but i don't know how else to reassure her. Any suggestions??

If mum passed in pain and suffered it quite a while
she could be in recovery time on the other side..

Im sure as soon as soon as she is able to connect
with her daughter she will.
Sometimes our grief is so deep that spirit cant
get thru to us,as its early days yet - your friend just
needs to deal with the day to day feelings she is
going thru..

Mum is out of pain now and is very definately ok..

I am sure that what your friend is needing just now is more comfort and reassurance that her mother is o.k., and is perhaps looking in all directions to find the answers she is seeking.

If her mother was in a lot of pain for some time before her passing then she too is probably getting used to the idea of being pain free, she will be in touch with her daughter as soon as she feels able to, she is becoming whole again and this can take some getting used to and although she would not want her daughter to grieve so for her, she would want her to know she is well and that the passing was a release a time of letting go, it was a transition into a place of peace and tranquility.

I feel the best way you can help your friend is by listening to her and simply reassuring her that her mother is well and is in a place where she is free from pain, also sometimes we look for big flashes of light as signs that our loved ones have visited us when it might just be a simple thing such as the scent of their perfume, or something such as an orb of light that just says I am here, I am well.

Thankyou Laughing Blossom and Poppy, biggrin.gif

I have tried to reassure my friend that her mum is probably getting used to her new transition as is my friend getting used to being without her mum.

I will tell her all you have said and just be there for her as a shoulder to cry on when needed.

Thankyou, angel.gif

angel.gif Hi Pegasus bye1.gif

To be honest, I tend not to use tarot an awfull lot as I prefer using Animal Medicine/Native American Tarot/Angel Cards of which I have a selection and I usually ask the recipient which ones they feel drawn to for their reading.

Sorry kind of going off subject here, in answer to your question, no I have never been asked to do a reading for someone who has already passed, I wouldn't have thought it was needed, I think it would be more for the person left behind than the person who has passed, but please know that this is my opinion and how I would handle the situation.

Hi Pegasus

You need not have to do a reading for the person who has passed.
If your friend wants to ask the cards about her late mother, then technically the reading is for your friend.

If she finds comfort in this and you are happy to do it then I see no reason not to.
If nothing else, it will help your friend to talk about her mother and release some of the pain and worry she has over her mothers passing.

It may turn out to be more of therapy session than a tarot reading, but if you are aware that this may be the case, then all should go well.

Hope this helps.

love and light
