Hi folks I am back and I have just had the most amazing, exhilirating, flying week I have had for so long. I was on the IOW as you will know staying with SA & GB, and I felt so at home it was hard to come away, in fact even as I sit here and put my words on the screen my heart is being tugged back there
.Beginning that is the best place to start
, and now I shall paint my picture.Wednesday 16th November.
I left Nairn at one o'clock and was taken to the airport in Inverness by a friend of mine, the airport is only about 10/15 minutes away but due to road works etc., we left early, I checked in and waited patiently to go to departures and getting all excited just as we were expecting to be called to board we noticed that one or two planes were not taking off and just sitting there (now do you see how I am building the suspense lol), we then noticed a fire engine passing the departure lounge window(how to install confidence in you passengers, lol,), I think they decided that when they say everyone staring out of the window they had better tell us something, and the something was that a small aircraft had landed without landing gear and was blocking the runway( don't worry no one was hurt , well apart from the plane itself,), now back to the story, I hope you are all sitting comfortably, they announced that the flight I was going to be on would be delayed by at least one and a half hours Argh!!!!!! sharp intake of breath, as I had transport waiting to collect me at Gatwick, just think patience was being tested as the flight was only held up by about 20 minutes, ( sorry about this but I have to build the picture and don't you just hate stories that leave bits out
hahahaha), good flight and went to meet driver who took me even closer to the island, GB met me at Portsmouth and we crossed to IOW.I was there, I was on this magical island the only thiing I didn't know was just how magical it would turn out to be, and I know I am in Shamanism, but what I experienced encapsulates all the titles of this section.
I had a very warm welcome from both SA & GB and max and marnie, never did find out dawgs real name as it answers to a a few abbreviations, but max is the cat by the way, and we know who rules the roost hahahaha.
