By the way guys while we are on the subject of crystals, has anyone heard Rhyolite and Magnesite as I read in the Crystal Bible that the Rhyolite is con actually dissolve kidney stones and the Magnesite is good for kidney pain, I am interested in getting my tiny little mitts on both if this is the case, and just wondered if anyone has any dealing with either of them.

LB, if you don't have any luck with those two, you could also try flint, iron or golden opal too.

Thanks Ametrine for this information, as I am going somewhere soon where there is an abundance of flint, can you tell me a wee bit more about it please, as I tend to find that I am drawn to certain crystals and do not really know why or for what use they are just that I am drawn to them, therefore just keep them with me, although I must admit I do know if I pick one up and it is not for me as I get a feeling as though I just want to throw it down again and can't keep it in my hand.

No problem. If you are going to somewhere there is lots of flint, it would be an ideal time to get some. Flint is one that you will sometimes find in tribal necklaces as it is used to protect and to clear negative energy. it is also used to clear spirit from places too. In my own mind I can't help but feel this could also be because it is used to produce fire and to have a fire in your camp was protective.... just a thought. (what does anyone else think?) That is why I also feel it is used to add protection while in the dream state.
You can also use flint to help calm yourself and to aid thinking and to give strength in stressful situations.
As well as for kidney stones you can use it for the liver, lungs and digestion.

Oh, and as for you just wanting crystals (I know that feeling, lol. Doesn't help when you see certain sites like the one above ), your body knows what it wants/needs even if you don't. Trying to think of the best way to explain....... pregnant ladies bodies know (even if the ladies themselves don't know) what certain vitamin or mineral they need and they get the cravings for foods that contain them. The body knows what it wants and needs and will attract you to it. That is why you will find that a stone you are attracted to when you look it up, it will have something that you body, mind or spirit needs. If you don't need the vibration/energy that the particular crystal holds you will get a reaction to it. It's letting you know that if the crystal is used you may over stimulate a certain chakra/area which doesn't need it. Or it could even be that the crystal needs cleansing as it is holding an energy that doesn't gel with your body or you spiritual side knows that it wouldn't be good for you. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for this Ametrine, it really does make sense to me the part about fire and protection warding off negative energy, as loads of it about at the moment it would seem.

Didn't realise it would help in dreamtime also this is great I am learning all the time just now, maybe you could enlighten me a little more on crystals sometime :notworthy:

I'll often feel drawn to a crystal or I'll wake with a particular crystal name in my head..off I trot to look it up - bingo every single time it will address a need I have at that moment, be it physical mental or emotional.
