Full Version: Hemisync - Centerpointe 'Holosync' method

Neville's introductory post has generated some interested in hemisync. This is the balancing of the two hemispheres of the brain by inducing altered states. Basically it is achieved by using stereo headphones, and 'binaural beats' - that is, noises of slightly different (low) frequencies introduced into each ear creating a displacement brain wave. The type of hemisync I've used is Holosync from Centerpointe:

Ignore all the marketing hype and hard sell. I've been on this program for 7-8 years and it has been completely life-changing. I can't recommend it highly enough, although, of course, it wouldn't be for everyone. In particular though, it helped me begin meditating regularly and effectively. One needs to devote the time to it but it has been well worth it for me. Once I was aggressive, resentful and not a nice person to be around, now I'm pretty chilled and together, and darned more successful. You can use hemisync with your favourite meditations (breath, mantra, placement, contemplation, crystals, even walking...) - you need a good quality set of headphones as it's all done through CDs. It can be scary, especially at the beginning. I was a complete wreck for a week or two, but what a breakthrough I made, and cleared a hell of a lot of emotional blocks all at once. After that there has been gradual improvement and development (believe it or not - you should have seen me before). I've always found it hard to sit and meditate (big time) but but this not only helped - it made meditation easy and enjoyable and something I looked forward to every day. There have been meditations where I have been totally blissed out - or made discoveries - or made huge connections - or personal strides forward - and I put it down to the hemisync techniques which invoke a deep dream state - and we all know what can happen in deep dreams. Strangely enough I haven't used it for a few months - must get back into it today! But used it daily for that last 7-8 years up to about last autumn.

The Centerpointe program has been proven through trials to reduce stress, balance the brain and body, reduce blood pressure, help in healing... no, I don't promote it, I'm just enthusiastic about it.

If anyone tries it and wants to bounce ideas about, please email me. It can be difficult at first, and some people don't get through their initial resistance and give up. There are techniques for making the initial breakthrough though, and I'd be willing to help anyone with any problems.

Thanks for that Fruitbat, I am certainly interested and will seriously consider giving it ago. The way you describe yourself sounds a wee bit like me, I do find it hard to sit and relax, at times very hard to meditate to as my brain just will not switch off no matter which tools I use, As for being stressed and sometimes "not nice to be around" I'm afraid that is me too at times (GB no comments).
I feel quite excited about this. mf_w00t1.gif
