Gracious Star
Hello Peeps.............

I thought the best place to start was at the beginning smile.gif

(it's a very good place to start !!)

I have scanned in images of The Fool from 4 of my different Tarot decks.

What I want you to do is look at the images and see what feelings come to mind. What is a common feature between the cards? How do the different styles make you feel?

What does the image of the Fool represent to you? Is it good or bad? Positive or negative?

Just let your intuition guide you.

When we have all had a look, those of us that can can meet in the chat room ( I think we said Wednesday) and have a chat about what we thought of the cards.

This is just starters....don't be worrying yourselves with the major and minor arcana's yet, I can explain them later...just look at these 4 cards and see what you think.

The common links im feeling here are

Starting/looking forward
Excitement anticipation
A bit of tackling things head on

The kind of differ in that each card suggests differences in how hard times ahead are. Couple point towards reckless abandonment, couple seem much more somber

Gracious Star,

This is my take on the four cards - the first ideas which appeared in front of me - without over-intellectualizing - which I might have been guilty of in the past (and mistook for cleverness):

(Anyone who doesn't want my thoughts to influence them turn away now)

1. The Fool comes over as someone very much 'in the moment' enjoying the sun and the company of his faithful dog. But will he allow his companion (to whom he is apparently superior) to alert him to impending danger? Positive
2. The Fool praises and honours things and ideas he does not understand and does not know what purpose he serves. A Negative suggestion but a positive message
3. The Fool is bumbling and ignorant. He is surrounded by simple beauty but refuses to see it. He is not 'in the moment'. Negative by implication but a positive message
4. The Fool is a jester, he wants to or feels compelled to keep others amused, or protect himself, but what lies beneath the mask? Positive

Well done Claddie and Fruitbat clapping.gif

Interesting points you have both made.........but I'm not going to say any more as I do not want to influence the others.

You have just shown how easy it is just to use what you feel intuitively to read Tarot Cards.

Top of the Class to you both smile.gif

Archangel
blush.gif Hi GS

I've never really been able to get into Tarot - not for not wanting too but I think I tried to go too deep too quick.

Anyway, these may be very wide of the mark but I'm game to have a go blush.gif

1. Embarking on a journey of discovery - I felt very optimistic
2. Asking for guidance as they seem to have lost their way - support was being asked for and was going to be given - felt that from darkness they would be shown the light ?
3. Person had been stopped in their tracks - they dont know which way to go. Needed guidance (see the trend ?!)
4. Strangely enough I couldnt get anything from this card and I dont know why ? any thoughts ???

If you could let me have a little feedback at some point would really appreciate it as I cant get into the chat room tomorrow.

thanks GS that was really interesting !! :notworthy:

okay,

First I feel is heading for a fall--head in the clouds-- not seeing or listening to his friends ...the dawg

Second He is looking at many things and is confused?..seems dark...but he has someone watching over him and will be fine as they will be there to guide him..

Third He is a grump--tied to one spot and wont move on..stick in the mud

Fourth..Now he is your Laughing Policeman--always the Joker, but a much deeper and "serious" side to him that only certain peeps get to see...Light under a bushel?

Well thats my thoughts any how whistling.gif

Keep it up peeps...you are all doing very well smile.gif

I was thinking that we could get together and chat about them Wednesday night in the chat room at about 9pm.

Archangel I will post a reply detailing some of the points that were made so that it will not matter if you can't get into the chat room.

In the meantime...keep at it everyone. And no peeping in text books wink.gif

See you soon.

Hi GS

I hope you don't mind me putting in my twopence worth but I have never done Tarot card before but when I saw this I wanted to join in. This is how I interperated them.

1. I felt the man was happy go lucky without a care in the world and was looking to the future without a thought for others. I felt this was a happy and positive card.

2. the person here is being looked after by the angels while he tries to make sense of a situation. I felt this was a protective and positive card.

3. this person has a mind full of thoughts that require to be sorted out before he can move on. I felt burdened by this card and negative.

4. This person is hiding themselves from the world, not wanting anyone to know the real person, uses his skills to make everyone laugh even though he is hurting inside. I felt this card was hiding something but it was a positive card too.

Thank you for this experience.
