In the story I'm writing, the hero has an impromptu Tarot reading, from a character who is an antagonist of sorts, on a dilemma in his life.

Is it possible to 'retrofit' a spread, given a particular question and outcome? In other words, say which cards would have (typically) been drawn for that situation?

Would anyone like to help with this?

Now, I know many of my friends here have excellent Tarot skills... but thought I'd post my request here to let the Universe decide who steps forward to help me. (That is, someone who has the time and inclination for this at this time... rather than emailing someone who might feel they have to do it).

Not sure if this will be helpful but I had a reading for Stephen by putting myself in Sarah's shoes (size threes - ouch!). Just wondering how you or anyone might interpret the spread:

I did a Celtic Cross reading:

1 - The energy surrounding Stephen at the time of the reading:
7 swords. (Uselessness)

2 - The block or obstacle Stephen must overcome:
4 cups (mixed emotions / inertia)

3- Stong influences from the distant past:
High Priestess (I took this to be a significator for Amelia)

4- Strong influence from recent past
9 swords (cruelty)

5- Indicates the way Stephen's life is going at this present moment if he carries on as he is.
Wheel of fortune (CHance)

6- Near future - either events or a person coming into Stephen's life
Page (or Princess) of coins - which I took to be a significator for Sarah

7- Attitude / representation of Stephen
7 of cups

8- Energies surrounding Stephen
Chariot (willpower)

9- Stephen's inner emotional state:
3 of swords (mourning)

10- outcome with the current energies present:
Moon (dreams)

Any interpretattions welcome!
